Kansas City to Louisville, Ky
I am looking for sites to see and good campgrounds along I-70 and I-64. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Are there any Corp of Engineer campgrounds along the way?

- Cahokia Mounds at East St. Louis. The museum is worth a hour or two. I don't think that the mounds themselves are worth the walk up to them. Everything that you need to see is there in the museum.
- Rend Lake in IL (while not a COE campground) is nice and just a few miles off your path. Carlyle Lake, also in IL, has several COE campgrounds, but is probably 45 mins off your path. (assuming your taking I-70 to StL and then i-64 to Louisville.
Several sights to see in or near StL, what are you interests? Do you have kids with you? How long do you have?
