If you want to go to Tunica first, take the above route.

If you want to go to Vicksburg first.
Take 165 to north to I-20. then I-20 to Vicksburg.

I like your choice of places to go, but in LA I would stay off the smaller roads, as they tend to lead over some elevated railroad tracks, etc. Take a longer way, but stay on the red roads.

I was looking at your option. Maybe someone that has been thru there lately will know more current info. We were thinking of stopping at Vicksburg, Ameristar.
