That happens fairly often.
Leaving the Vehicle is not a problem and most RV Parks will allow You to use their Storage Area at a modest charge.
Where You can run into problems, is when You surrender the FMM to board the Plane. Just go with the flow and explain Your situation.
When You return to Mexico explain ,again and ask for the New FMM to be for 180 Days or until XXXX Date!
It's not as big a deal as it used to be!
