Let's eat, Part II

My last post of the same name was asking for good places to eat along the Oregon coast.

This one is for good places along the I-5 going south from Portland. They don't have to be right on I-5 so about 5 miles on either side of the road will be good.

Thank you again.
  • Not sure if this meets your 5 mile criteria, but we stopped at the Luna Sea Fish House a couple of years ago for lunch and really enjoyed it.

  • Country Cottage in Woodburn is in the clubhouse of Wooodburn estates with a view of the golf course. It is on the east side, not by the outlet mall.

Juan Colorado (Mexican) in Wilsonville just off the freeway.
  • Pacific City, OR - Los Caporales Mexican Restaurant. Here is a review link. I like their beef enchiladas.
Neskowin, OR - Cafe on Hawk Creek (aka: Hawk Creek Cafe) It's a restaurant. Located about a mile north of Neskowin Creek RV Resort. A bit pricey, but well worth it. The food is excellent. Their pizzas are awesome.
Lincoln City, OR - Aces Sports Bar & Grill overlooks the golf course at Chinook Winds Casino. Excellent burgers, fries, tots, and beer.
Lincoln City, OR - The Beach Dog Cafe Their breakfast is excellent. I've never had lunch their - which consists of fancy-fied hotdogs and sausages.

23 miles east of Lincoln City, Oregon - on OR-18 in Grand Ronde, OR - is Spirit Mountain Casino. It has a very large RV parking lot with shuttle bus service to the casino. Their Cedar Plank Buffet is awesome.

Edit - did not see the "I-5" inquiry. I'm not a fan of anything along I-5, in WA or OR. I'll settle for whatever big box store parking lot along the interstate that I can get in and out of easily that has a reasonable walk to a Subway, Dennys, local diner, Sharis, etc. I'm not looking to unhook and drive around town.
  • Thanks for the tips everyone. After this trip my photograph will weigh 50 pounds.
  • Hey neighbor, as long as it is the photograph that gains the weight!

If you like micro-brew beer there is a small chain called Ram that has a good selection of their own microbrews and good food, one is just off the 5 near the Camping World, it is one exit closer to Portland than CW.
