New York Times article -- lots of great photos and text from all around the Arctic I just gotta go North. Maybe next winter, after I retire . . . . .

I spent some time N/O the A.C. while in your employment. I can say from experience that it is beautiful and exciting to be there, but preparation is important. Communications are also important.
Living on the other side of the country I don't get the NY papers so I'm not familiar with the article and suspect it was written for those who leave the driving to someone else or go in the tourist season. "Life Is Different In A Motorhome", a quote from a ten year old grandson of ours, he knew then that it is fun but a lot goes into doing stuff like that. And yes he has been up there too. Summer Solstice six years ago.
There isn't much there but photo ops, take a great camera and a tablet or computer, you'll be sorry if you don't.
