If it's a rare event to be going thru steep grades like this, it's an expensive upgrade for something that decent driving skills can handle without an issue.
x2 I have owned 5 rvs including two 5vers, one B and two Class A and been up and down mountains including every state west of the Mississippi and most of the Eastern half and never once missed having an exhaust brake on gas or diesel. Its fine for those who think they need it, but not at all necessary.
