Los Pinos RV Park, Tepic

After not having it for about 5 years, this lovely park has wifi again!
This is such a beautiful park, quiet, and great for dogs. Once again, it has it all.

  • We are exactly 12 feet tall, and have lots of clearance at the entrance. It is posted at 14 feet, we suspect it's more. The tight entrance? We just watched a 40 footer make it out gracefully. Slowly, but that's always good.
Yes, you can definitely park in the turn lane out front. Everyone is so aware of the RV park, people literally run to move vehicles and guide you in. Tepic is a very nice city, with a lot going for it.
Size isn't a problem in Mexico, its attitude and kindness!
  • I wonder why they don't put an an entrance through that wall off the street. I usually stop at Santa Mara del Oro (Only good for Class C's, shorter trailers like mine, & Truck Campers) or shoot all the way through to Chimulco or Roca Azul.
  • If you know how to use Google Earth you can Copy & Paste these numbers . . . 21.481586 -104.892731 . . . exactly as they are written including the minus sign and Google Earth will take you to the entrance to Los Pinos between the stores. You can see the RV park behind the half circle strip mall. All the grass and the trees can be seen. Appears to be at least one RV - photo dated 7-18-2013 so fairly recent. If you know how to do street view (little man toward upper right - drag to middle of street out front - use your cursor to rotate around - move along the street for better angle - new picture maybe every 30' or so) you can see the entrance with the RV PARK LOS PINOS sign over it. This might give you some picture ideas of what it looks like and where it is. The aerial view will give an idea of the parking lot situation. We have heard people will move cars if requested. I am not sure but I think you can park in the turn lane in the middle of the road out front. I have no idea if any of the following info is current..........

  • We have a 40' motorhome (no business in Mexico we know) and looked at Los Pinos in the car a few years ago having been warned about the entrance. Small RVs can make it but larger rigs probably not. The entrance is a sort of alley between storefronts with curbs and sidewalks and cars parked and a low overhead - and it is curved so there is a turn radius to deal with. A very nice place but not big enough for us. I would not be able to estimate what size rig can fit. Certainly pickup campers and such but if you are long and/or towing it might not work. I do not think you can get a good look at the entrance on Google Earth - I tried and they do have a street view but not quite the best angle to see the entrance. Used to be larger rigs could get in but they built all the stores around the entrance as well as a parking lot so it is not an easy access location.
  • Just on the road into downtown Tepic, You have to drive through a shopping center to get at it. If I recall there is an arch to go under.Maybe about 12.5 - 13 ft clearance. Best to look at it on Google earth first, its tough to find
