Lukeville AZ. boarding crossing

Has any 5th wheel RVer had any problems crossing from MX to US Lukeville Az. with the height of there rig thru the check point. My height is 13'6" top of ac unit. if not what is your est. height?. I was told that it is now 12'6".
  • I just take it very very very very slowly. Those speed bumps just before the immigration booth can get you rocking and there isn't much clearance from the tall steel pipe barriers on the side. Those barriers usually have scuff marks up high where someone whacked them. There's no reason to hurry. I don't remember the S turns as being a big deal, perhaps they have changed them in the last couple of months.
  • There were 4 total lanes today, all permanent, but only the far right one was open. There was no truck lane.
Wouldn't want to be a 40' with a tow would make it through their loop at the end.
  • I have returned through Lukeville so many times. There is no truck lane, and I have only seen two lanes available and sometimes just one. Very tight with our 40' and tow.
  • Where is the truck lane???? Went through today, and didn't see one. It is posted 12'3", but now, they have added a zig zag after you clear the border. Our friend with a 36' and a small tow almost didn't make it.
  • When I came through in Feb 2014, the sign said 12ft 3 inches. That was too close for me and I went through the truck lane.

    follow the truck lane.
  • Ray: Are you sure your height is 13 ft. 6 inches? This the same as the Max. height for Tractor trailers. There are many underpasses in N.A. with less than that clearance.
