Maine: Skowhegan to Montpelier on State Route 2?
In July, we'll be taking a 35' gasser, pulling our toad across Maine. Is route 2 ok for the trip, or should we add the 100 miles, taking I95 to I89? -Neil

Rt. 2 is the major east/west route across the Tristate region. Even though it's only a 2 lane road it's very well maintained. It's one of the best road to see rural America, the views, the small towns, the open farm lands and the attractions along the way makes it an enjoyable trip... Don't be in a hurry, it worth the trip.
