Another S&T refuge. I keep an old windows laptop to run S&T when needed such as a month long, bob and weave cross country trip last year. For those pushing an atlas, the problem is a national atlas doesn't have the small road detail you need sometimes. Where S&T excels is planning stops, putting in how long your regular breaks are (20 minutes every 3 hours or whatever), and customized drive times. I didn't use it for day to day navigation - I bought state maps with detail for some of that in addition to Google Maps which drives me crazy. But, S&T is great for determining overnight stops and a meandering day with sight seeing stops as you travel.
I've found nothign online that is anywhere close. Will check out Delome and Base Camp. Any chance there is a Mac version?
