Mar Rosa Prices

We are currently parked at Mar Rosa, arrived this afternoon, and will stay two nights.

I read, in the last week, that the prices had been raised 54 to 56 pesos per night. Wrong.

When I went into the office to pay, both Maleno and Gabriela (Manager and Owner) were there, and when I asked about prices was told that the prices had not changed from last winter, and would not be changing this season. The written prices reflect that.

Hate seeing bad information tossed around!!!!
  • What a shame that someone had internet issues. We were one of five units in the park.

I work on the computer daily, and have to have great internet. Sometimes, like there, I have to pay for it. I did, and it worked perfectly for me.

One of the four units had 3 large dogs, we have two, and there was no problem.

The park is on the market, like so many are. The RV park must stay open during the season, or the owners lose the right of exclusive use of the beach to the waterline. If they close, the land loses a fair amount of value along with beach space.

Because it is for sale, they quit taking reservations. Surprisingly, they just went through and refurbished the restrooms/showers: new toilets, new plumbing, new shower heads. We were surprised.
  • I gather absolute beach front means no one else was there. There is one regular whom we know well as many of us in different parks around Maz have stayed and enjoyed the beach front. 2 dog rules, air conditioning rules, internet costs, size difference applying to rows, increasing rates, maybe not this year, maybe so with extenuating circumstances, have all left us looking else where.

Happy for you to have enjoyed the beach once more, for 2 days. Many have supported the park for 4 months ; paid in advance, for years.

A camper came over here this week claiming he paid 800 peso's, I assume for 2 days, and when he said the internet was not working for him, they gave him his money back and he came over here, vowing to tell everyone in his travels about his encounter.

Mission Bay San Diego most likely pays their employees more than 10 to 15 dollars a 12 hour day thus the price difference

Glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope things turn around for the Park, it is a gem.
  • Depends on your size.

For us, absolute beach front for two days each way is worth it's weight in gold.

When we spend time in San Diego, CA, using Passport America(half price), we pay more, and aren't on the beach, much less beach front.

We all want different things. Glad we aren't all the same.
  • November 10, 2015 currency exchange rate on XE

    1.00 USD = 16.7380 MXN divided into 580 = 34.65169

    1 MXN = 0.0597442 USD X 580 = 34.651636

If the pesos went back to 12.5 and .08 the rate would be over $46 US

Way too rich for my blood….
  • I'd like to make this page into a clicky, but don't know how to, sorry. Because of that, I am not sharing the monthly rates. When the park is not fully occupied, there may be some flexibility in what size rig will fit where.

  • The 56P was the increase. Isn't the daily rate over $50USD?

    Moisheh
  • Are we talking Mar Rosa in Mazatlan? At 56 pesos a night that isn't even $6 a night
