Maryland to Canada Niagara Falls Jellystone

Yes, they do. On more than one occasion, we've seen traffic start backing up on the QEW Niagara nearer to Casablanca Blvd. or Victoria Ave. headed Stateside on non-holiday weekends. Mostly summer tourist traffic to see "The Falls". Sometimes Hwy 3 was a better alternate to get to Fort Erie.
Queenston was closer to us physically, but we preferred FE/PB.

The bridges (all) get backed up on both US & CA holidays.

WNYBob: I used to live in the Niagara region of Ontario a few years ago. The reviews I got regarding the Q/L crossing were all word of mouth from neighbors and acquaintances who avoided it if at all possible when crossing. Most of my fellow travelers used the Peace Bridge or the Rainbow Bridge at the Falls. We tried it once coming back to Canada, and it wasn't an easy or pleasant experience. Going the other way into NYS wasn't too bad, the CBP folks were OK. Used it that way twice (traffic problems on the QEW Niagara made it necessary) in the 5 years we lived there. All the rest of our travels we used the Peace Bridge or Rainbow Bridge. Never had problems at either of them, both ways.

Go to the Peace Bridge, cross there, and keep it simple.

If you are coming up through Erie PA I90 is the most direct route although a little rough through Indian Reservation (due to a squabble between the Seneca Nation and the State of NY - over casino money). Then take I190 right to the Peace Bridge.
If coming up I99 take I86 west to I390 (north) to route 36 north, this takes you through Mt. Morris and to Letchworth SP. Letchworth was named the best (#1) state park in the country! Next turn left on route 63 to Batavia. Take I90 west to I190.
36 & 63 are the way truckers go, good 2 lane highways.

Q/L is one of the worst places to cross. I used to live up the road and there were never any glowing reviews of CBSA coming in to Canada.
That's where I got it.
I have no problem with CBP going the other way but that wasn't the question.

I don't know where MDKMDK got their information, but there is nothing wrong with the Queenston/Lewiston bridge! I've lived here most of my life!
With that said, taking the Peace Bridge to the QEW is the most direct route to Niagara Falls Jellystone Campground.
Now getting to Buffalo, will you be traveling through Pittsburgh or a route north that is farther east?

If things go wrong for any reason, and you need a place to dry camp overnight nearby, there's a Walmart at the McLeod Rd exit on the east side of the highway. Last time I was there (a few years ago) it was still OK to overnight.
