Metered Electricity

We were just told that next winter we will be paying for our own electricity, it will no longer be included in our daily rate.
I realize that the rates vary by season and location, but we'd love to get a rough idea of what it could cost a month. Hundreds of US dollars? Tens? Thousands? Appreciate any help.

  • Thanks guys, we will. Didn't think of it.
Glad Trekker is still with you, hope the four of you are here next fall! You have been missed!
  • We stay at Chula Vista RV Resort from July through October. If the outside temp is above 75° our air conditioner is on 24/7. Plus electric water heater, refrig on electric and we use our stackable washer/dryer.

Our electric bill runs close to $200 per month averaged over the 4 months.
  • Thanks, clarlk. That's about what we have found online.

    We are in MEXICO.
  • A friend of ours lives in Yuma (Foothills). i believe it costs $.20 pkw....He said his has never gone over $85.00 in their park model.....in the winter.
  • Need to talk to Celestino RV Resort as they have metered power..

will depend on if the park is on Commercial rates or residential rates.. also Im sure there winter rates when the park is in operation . Puts them into the very highest rates .. guessing about 2.5 peso per KWH or higher..

Very Good idea for the park owners..

Power is expensive in Mexico , the more you use the more it cost per KWH.... summer times in Sinaloa its discounted ...
  • In Yuma it runs from $60-$65 a month without AC to $90 a month for the months we use AC, for the rig in our signature.
  • In Texas it cost $60 a month. I use it to heat the water and run the usual stuff in the RV.
  • I don't where you are talking.
Is the park going to install their own meters? If they are no one would be able to tell you except for others on private meters in the same locale.
