How much are you paying for Mexican insurance and what company are you with? I just did an online quote with Sanborns and got the incredible price of over $980 for ONE MONTH! Same price as 6 months...

People of course don't mind sharing info, even when it doesn't quite answer the question.
Ex., I'm paying $130 a year, liability only. It's called "driver license insurance" and covers any vehicle that I might drive, though there is usually only one. The insurer is Ace Seguros, sold through Bajabound broker.
I hope the OP realizes that they will be covered by Mexican insurer, and the US "insurance company for Mexico" is merely a re-seller, broker.
