How much are you paying for Mexican insurance and what company are you with? I just did an online quote with Sanborns and got the incredible price of over $980 for ONE MONTH! Same price as 6 months...

I think that the thread is taking a misunderstood twist. It is about Mexican insurance and whether or not you have to go through a broker.
It was determined that by Mexican law, foreign cars need to be insured via a broker.
In the U.S. and Canada, just like in Mexico, Mexicans and Mexican plated cars can go directly to the insurance company and not a broker.
