Michigan to the Rockies to NM and back round trip?

I don't think there's any giant Sequoia in the Rockies or New Mexico. There's a few growing right here in Michigan at the Lake Michigan Audubon Soc., they're just babies though, only 100 years old or there about.

What time of year and how much time for the trip?
