Mid Nov GC to LA SNOW?

I see the Grand Canyon can get snow mid November. Driving back to Los Angeles, how far does the snow and chain requirements usually last, Williams or maybe Kingman? I assume they clear the roads rather quickly and it's probably better to wait for the roads to clear instead of the haste of chains.
