Montgomery AL to Panama City Beach, FL

Heading to PCB in a couple of weeks from Pittsburgh. Due to Various reasons, I will end up in Alabama on I-65. There are a multitude of routes from Montgomery down to the FLA line but I am not sure the best route in a Class C RV. I am pondering rte 97 (Exit 151) to rte 331 straight down to FLA 98 but not sure if this is 4 lane, 2 lane, or a real country road. Would going further down to Rte 12 (Exit 93) to 331 be easier or should I take Rte 231 out of Montgomery all the way down. I am not necessarily looking from the route with less miles but the easiest route RV wise. Thanks in Advance
