Monument Valley to Grants, NM

Question

We're currently at Monument Valley and are heading toward Grants.  MapQuest has us taking "Indian Rte 59" between US160 and US191.  We're towing a 35 foot 5th wheel and I'm concerned about the condition of Indian Rte 59.

never driven it but shows to be about 44 miles to 191 hwy. it shows to be a 2 lane scenic route. google also routes you through there so I suspect it is ok

If I recall and it has been several years. It wasn't bad not the best but should be fine.

FYI if you are just passing thru Grants a great overnight spot is 26 miles  East of Grants. Dancing Eagle Casino RV Park $10.00 full hookups.

Several things you can do. I use a trucker's atlas to see if the route is good enough for an 18-wheeler. I also use Google Maps to actually look at the road and even get onto the road in Street View.

It's amazing what you find on YouTube and when roads are in question, that's a place to try. Indian Route 59 is a good drive with a RV and there are no big hills or drop-offs. It's pretty much flat.
