Motorcycle in Mexico - Pros and con?

I was thinking of bringing a toad in Mexico next year but I think I will bring the 250cc scooter instead on the RV back rack.

How is it using a motorcycle in Mexico? I plan on going in the Puerto Valarta area.

    The scooter would be just to move around towns and maybe visiting some 50 miles from the campsite as we usually do.

    I just want a feeling on what to expect with the Mexico people towards motorcyclist.

    I take my Harley down with me for past 10 years. Stay just North of PV in Rincon De Guayabitos. No problems riding and with your size of MC you should be OK. Not a lot of roads to ride, but what we do ride are great.
