Thanks, no problem with bugs, I have a high windshield. I see a few good points here, parking, 1/2 price on quota and no hassle with windshield wash.

I would not ride without a helmet, it covers the brain of the system!!

The helmet law varies from state to state, but only covers the driver,not passenger.

You're quite right to question the law, part. It's a good excuse to stop anybody, as happend to a couple I know. After pulling them over, the police followed them out to the beach where they had their helmets, likely trying to make them contribute in some monetary way. But in doing so they got their car stuck in the sand, and were quite greatful when the helmet-less riders pulled their vehicle free with their own truck. They wore their helmets afterwards. Of course, it's a pretty good idea to wear them if cherishing the health you have.

Laws or no laws, I wear a helmet, my head with ciment or asphalt do not make good result!

I'm not so sure there is a law, and if there is it's not uniformly enforced. There are a lot of Nationals that don't wear helmets and I've gone for short rides without a helmet in Mexico.
