A few other motorcycling in Mexico factoids:
If you get a vehicle import sticker - keep it available but don't apply it. Three years and over 10K miles of motorcycling in Mexico and no one ever asked to see the sticker.
If your motorcycle is 15 years old or older insurance is not available for collision or theft - just liability.
Every hotel and most restaurants will let you park the bike in a safe place. I've never had an issue with people tampering with the bike while parked.
Africanized bee swarms worried me - however at speed the rider may get a couple of stings but nothing that's going to ruin your day - unless you're allergic.
Motorcycles pay 1/2 car fees at most Cuotas.
Windshield washers/vendors at traffic lights will ignore you.
