My anti hijack device was installed today

Dealing with the insurance company (HDI), more paperwork and certified copies of paperwork. Flying home, another truck, outfitting it for 5th wheel tow, driving back to Patzcuaro to fetch the 5th wheel home. permit worries - can we get the new truck into Mexico in my wife's name ?, etc, etc !
If my truck had quit and made a lot of noise 3 minutes down the road, this could have all been avoided. Yes, there would be some bother, but the truck would have been there. Saying

shows me you haven't been in a position where you needed it yet - hope you never do ! The evaluation and the reality in a total loss, especially including $3000 + in equipment can be pretty far apart, so you can get robbed twice - did I mention HDI Seguros ?
Insured by them for quite a few years - never again ! Anyone insured with them should definitely consider changing to somebody else. The coverage looks good - we paid for good coverage - but it wasn't there to the degree we figured we had paid for. If you have the same stolen truck problem, then get back to me with more advice.
