The following was posted on another forum:
I know of a new 50K US-D Caddy PU truck that was stolen in Santa Ana...with one of those satellite things? that tell you where the truck is...
The Mexican Fed., police were called and they also called their Ins Co in the USA...
The Ins Co., in the USA pin pointed where the truck was in Mexico on a map...Then call the Mexican Fed Police...
OH..."""We don,t send people in that part of the country..."""
End of Caddy...GONE for parts...
It must be true since it was posted on a forum. "The Insurance co. called Mexico Federales" Who would actually believe that line?
They wont get my truck more than 3 miles from where they take it, and I have a gps tracker on it as well. The device is working well.Even if it gives me a 50% chance of recovery its $500 well spent. Most hijackers are common criminals, they will simply abandon it and go look for another. I would not expect to find anything left inside however. I carry a spare key hidden on my wife's body and I have one hidden in the frame. Even if they find the hidden button they will still not be able to start it.
