There is a very nice campground near Atmore AL, just off I-65. Check out Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve. It is owned and run by the Poarch Band of the Creek Indian Nation. lizzie
Took your advice. I was at a nearby state park I wasn't too thrilled with for a couple months so I left early and came to MBWR. $400/month with FHU on a wooded, lakefront site that is beyond huge. These Indians are very friendly and great hosts. I move around quite a bit but I think this is going to be a regular snowbirding stop for me in the future.
The only question I have is, why is this place not full?
