- kazmirExplorerThanks for the advise. It is beautiful there, don't tell anyone! I am hoping the repairs will be done by the end of April, Hwy 1 is currently closed heading up from San Simeon, so that route is out for now too. We are being hopeful of even getting near the campground and coast! Plaskett Creek is our very favorite place to be in the spring!
- JTExplorerNacimiento-Fegusson Rd. is currently undergoing repairs:

Pretty does not even begin to describe it. More like SPECTACULAR!- LwiddisExplorer IIIt's pretty too! Right, Tiger?
- I've driven it several times in the rig shown in my signature. 20 feet long, 87 inches wide. No problems, although this is not a road for the chicken-hearted. Low gears, good brakes, and careful driving are a must. The road is narrow and winding. The pavement was improved a few years ago due to this road being the only coastal access during another of Hwy 1's perennial long shutdowns. Check current conditions carefully before setting out.

This CalTrans Quick Map is showing a number of issues on Hwy 1 right now, some north and some south of N-F Road. - LwiddisExplorer IIIt would be a real challenge but I believe you could get through. The last part is a steep downhill. Personally I'd go to SLO and then north on CA Hwy. 1.
Camping at Kirk Creek or Plaskett Creek?
