Nanaimo to Tofino
We are planning to visit Vancouver Island after Labor Day and would appreciate you inputs on the route from Nanaimo to Tofino. Was planning to take hwy 4 from Qualicum Beach across to the West Coast....

RV parking in Ucluelet can be a challenge. As in, there isn't much of it. There are a couple locations you can park, but be prepared to hike a bit, or have a toad to get around.
But, at least you made it out here, and at a time in the year when the bulk of the tourists have gone home.
Huh, given the route you most likely took, you just might've passed my truck at some point. I now work in Sidney, more accurately, Patricia Bay at the Institute Of Ocean Sciences. This means I commute from Ucluelet to Victoria once every 9 days, and home 5 days later.
