Need Help with a route from Yuma AZ to Illinois in mid April

Hi All, My stepdad passed and left us a 1995 Winnebago Vectra 36' with a jeep to tow along. His lot fee is up end of April so will have to fly down to Yuma AZ and drive it home here in Illinois....

I would say to stay off 54/70 due to place to fuel if you need it and if you have to pull over. Not a lot of spaces there. I drive once a month both roads and live where they both are. Very few places for help if need. They are good roads but if in a hurry not the ones to take.

Can't say about I 8 but 40 you will not have any issues with it and the climb out of Albuquerque is just down shift or slide over on 66 which runs right alone 40 and get back on in Edgewood NM.
