Parts of Lake Tahoe are in NV. The Ruby Mountains/East Humboldt Range have some amazing scenery, check out Angel Lake and Lamoille Canyon. Great Basin NP gets pretty high in elevation and is pleasant up there even in the summer. Even places like Ely, at an elevation of 6500', isn't too bad in the summer, esp. in the evening. The deserts tend to cool off nicely at night. Plan your daytime excursions to visit some of the high mountain areas in the summer. An exploration of the ghost towns can be fun if you're into that sort of thing.
