Nevada Route 93

I actually really like that road, and exploring the area. We recently spent a week in the Caliente, Panaca, Pioche area, as that is an area I hadn't explored as much as the regions further north. Stop in the towns, talk to folks, and find out what there is to do in the area and it's rich with variations of scenery and history. Lots of little canyons, old mines, streams, abandoned buildings, reservoir's and state parks. Further north The Ely area can be fun if you like to get out and explore, and the town itself has a lot of history.

Ruby Mountain Wilderness has fantastic hiking and backpacking. It's one of those Gems that luckily doesn't get huge crowds, it's not far off the path. You can also detour a little bit off the path to the Great Basin National park area and check out Lehman caves or the nearby campgrounds. It's actually a route with a lot of adventure along it, just not easily seen or experienced from the hwy.

My pickup gets horrible gas mileage when I tow, so I'm in the habit of not passing an open gas station without topping up when I get off of the interstates.

If you have a Costco membership, you pass right by a Costco in Twin Falls, and it accommodates RVs. I have no trouble getting my trailer in and out.

This is one of the advantages of a Class A coach ,,, the huge amount of fuel we carry. If I wanted to push the limits I can go 1500 miles per tank. we usually do 1000 miles between fill ups.
We filled up at John Day Or. on 395, then 50, east to 93 south and filled again at the intersection of 93 and I-15. then again in Phoenix

93 is a good road we enjoyed the trip, do the valley of the moon road stop.

Here is some rough mileage numbers and suggestions for fuel.
Twin Falls to Jackpot, NV is 46 miles. Do get gas in Twin Falls, Jack pot is normally pricey.
Jackpot to Wells, nv is 66 miles. Wells is good place for fuel.
Wells to Ely is 139 miles. Good place for fuel at top of hill leaving Ely headed south on US 93
Ely to Pinoch is 109 miles. fuel is ??
Pinoch to Cedar city is 94 miles.
Most rigs will be able to get from Twin Falls to Ely without any problems.
then next fuel stop would be Cedar City.

93 is a good road. Desolate just like all Nevada routes. Beats the Salt Lake City construction traffic. You can also stay at the Cedar City Walmart. We have parked there a couple of times without issue.

No, we normally take NV 319 that changes to UT 56 to Cedar City. Then south to St George.

You dont take 318 to go to Panaca, only if your going south to Vegas, Mesquite or farther. Fill up in Wells and Ely as there is no fuel in between.

It's a lonely road but a good one, or was last year this time. we were able to run 65 MPH most of the way down to the intersection of 15. were we fueled, prior to getting into Vegas

93 is a good road the whole way. You'll find gas at reasonable intervals until past Ely. FILL UP IN ELY!!! From Ely on, gas up where you can. (Basically, if you see a gas station, fill up.) There's a park and at least one casino with RV parking in Ely. There's a few places to park for the night in Jackpot and in Wells. There's a nice big rest area north east of Ely. After Ely, there are a lot of dirt pull outs that will work fine for a few hours of sleep.
