Let me go against the flow. Before we retired my wife and I made several trips like you have planned. All the others are correct, we did not get to spend a lot of time at anyone place. However they are wrong. We loved those trips. Now that we are retired, we can and do enjoy a slower pace, but we don't regret for one moment the great times we had. We got to see a lot of our great country and now we know where we want to go back and spend more time and just a few places where we don't want to return.
