Newfoundland "Gravel Pit Camping"
We are going to Newfoundland in May-June and want to spend a couple of nights boondocking. Anybody know of a few good places in the Western part of the province? Terra Nova is as far east as we are ...

Go to any of the "Cape" places for a start, usually leads to a light house or deserted point type of spot. We stayed at almost all of them.
You might rock and roll in the wind in a few spots at night.
This is a cool spot:
Underground Salmon
Stay over night in the parking lot, pit toilets etc...
Really, just drive around and stop where you want to for the night...
Grocery store parking lots etc...
If you stop near someones house, they will come along have a yarn and probably invite you to supper. Quite often people show up on an ATV or side by side if you are a bit remote.
We were given a lot of moose meat.
