We are in St. John's now....
My favorite so far has been Sandbanks Provincial Park...2.5 hour drive in (did see ONE caribou and 3 moose driving out). If you go to Sandbanks and I HIGHLY recommend it...go for at least a few days...small park 25 spots...no electric but warm showers and bathhouse, dump station, bring enough water (boil ban on water you get there). I love beaches and there were enough trails to keep me busy. Local fox has kits so she goes hunting and you see her going down the road.
Gorgeous place! We should have stayed there longer but wanted to make sure we saw things on our list...stayed two nights.
