For most of the years of our fulltiming, Next Exit was the 'go to' tool when traveling the interstates. We supplemented that with a Truckers Fuel Stop guide for other highways. We fueled diesel on both sides of our truck and having a satellite pump was a major plus.
The discontinuance of Next Exit for some years and the technology improvements have changed things. IExit has totally replaced the need for an interstate guide. Off the interstate the voice activated Google will find anything I want "near me" or "in X". When I want a truck stop, I just use my Garmin GPS voice command to "find category" then "find truck stop" "along route", pick one and then command "navigate" and my route is amended with a new stop, directions, distance to and estimated travel time. Now, traveling solo, voice activated devices make things easier than turning pages. JMO
