No Corona

Suspect Corona wants this virus problem eliminated more than most - can you imagine having your brand associated with a pandemic? Yikes!

There are two extremes in the reaction to the current crisis;
One is really extreme fear.
Second is ignorance.

Our local medical clinic screens everyone that comes though the door.
They ask a series of questions and take one's temperature.
I'm sitting in their lobby and a guy comes through, gets screened and passes by me.
As he passes by me I hear him mutter "This is ********".

At the other end of the spectrum is a friend in California who has just bought $500 worth of groceries at Costco - she already has dry food goods stacked to the ceiling. She think the end is near. They've got guns, generators, diesel fuel - all stock piled.

So a little on line humor?
Whether its droll or offensive or funny - one should try to remain unoffended and understanding.

There are a number of humorous Corona beer memes and jokes going around. All in good fun. If we can't laugh a bit, we'd be in rough shape.

I thought I'd read somewhere that sales of Corona beer had increased since the memes started up (free advertising, sort of). Oh well.

The OP has overlooked the obvious: there's always Sol... ;)

I agree. None of this is fun. For anyone. Least of all the health care worker affected and those who are still working with the public. They are all heroes.

That said a bit of humor helps us all deal with it. One's mental health is as important right now as physical health. If one chooses to hang their heads so to speak, they are are going to have a harder getting getting through it. I choose not to hang my head.

Speaking of liquor stores, in WI they are considered essential. Many microbreweries are able to sell craft beer as curbside pickups.

No beer? Just when we thought things could not get any worse! Seriously, I agree that we need to find humor in this desperate situation. Without it we would all go mad. The liquor stores are open here, the medical system would be overwhelmed if those dependant went into withdrawal. It would also open the floodgates to homebrew and bootlegging, we all know what happened the last time that was tried.

In Mexico when you say Corona, or Coronita EVERY ONE knows it is BEER.

Remember the Corona beer comercials on TV?....In the Unided States in California?

Now that we are home bound wouldn't you like to be on a beautifull beach swaying in a hamock with an ice cold Corona BEER in your hand.

It is not corona virus it is covid-19, lighten up guys.

I am certified by the State of California Fire Marshal as a FIRE mechanic one, I was the guy behind the fire women an fire men until my retierment, in any case this is a tread for Mexico mainly and Mexicans have a great sence of humor in view of adversity, right now there is a plane overhead with a loud speaker telling every one to stay home, I wish I had an ice cold Corona right now, and it is all sold out!

At my local pool hall, sales of their beer dropped off big time just because of the name before we were closed down.
