No more overnight parking at Desert Diamond Casino?

I heard you can no longer RV overnight at the Desert Diamond off Exit 80 north of Nogales.

A friend phoned them and was told this is the case, but she did not know if it was just Covid related.

The Nogales Wal Mart stopped it about 3 years ago.

    We have stayed at the Ameristar Casino campground in Vicksburg,MS. We joined their players club(called MyChoice) and have received comp nights each time. It also has worked at the Hollywood Casino park in Tunica. Have also received comp at Windstar in Oklahoma using their players club. I don't spend much in any of the actual Casinos(usually a meal)
    I understand many of the Casinos do this if you ask.

    Wandering about the country, we've noticed a lot of casinos have converted to for-pay RV sites.

    My guess is, they found too many people just using the facilities to overnight and not gambling.

    Now it's a revenue center and if you get someone who drops $500-1000 at the tables, they can always comp the RV site.

    It’s either a Covid or business decision. Could be both too.
