We did this on the Harley a few years back. We stayed on the 1 north through San Francisco. No problems but we are much longer now. I plant to go to Fort Bragg for a few days and then on to Redcrest to see the redwoods. Ultimate destination is Astoria, Oregon. I will use the 101 to travel north of San Francisco.
