We pulled our 38' 5'r right through SF some years ago. It was fine, slow but well marked, just watch the signs. The SF traffic probably thought we were crazy. You mentioned Hwy 1, DO NOT get on Hwy 1 north of San Francisco. We did, accidently, and it is way too tight to travel with a big rv. Tight switchbacks and many 1 finger salutes. Stay on 101 out of SF, trust me on this one.
Thanks for sharing this, I was wondering about US 1 North of SF to Oregon, Seattle and then Vancouver BC... I guess US 101 it is.
