Valdez is one of our favorite cities! Highly recommend a day cruise with Capt. Fred on the Lulu Belle. Beautiful old boat and he is a hoot!
Make sure you go to Allison Point to see the bears one evening. Ask any of the tourists that have been there a couple days and they can tell you when to go.
Also Stan Stephens cruises are worth the time and money.
If you have the time and can find a camping spot Blueberry State Park on the way to Valdez located in Thompson Pass is a beautiful little park on a good rainbow and greyling lake.
