Northern CA into NE Oregon

In early May, I will be traveling from Redding,CA to Lakeview,OR via 299 to Alturas and then 395 into Lakeview. I have never driven this route before. I have a 24' Class C Born Free. Are there any areas of concern? Any "must see" or "don't miss"?? Thanks!! M

    Must sees are all the people on motorcycles...don't miss are all the curves and twists..I enjoyed 299 in my Vette...your Born Free will handle differently..:B

    You'll do fine on 299..just take your time.....Dennis
