Question - if the TIP is tied to the passport and the passport never crossed the border into Mexico because the person got the TIP online - and the vehicle never crossed the border - then they would know that neither the person nor the vehicle ever entered Mexico - so why would they have a problem? The reason for the TIP and the limit is so the vehicle is not sold and does not stay in Mexico. If it never entered Mexico and the owner never entered Mexico then the computer should show that. We did not turn in our FMM one time due to mis-communication (posted previously) and the computer knew it immediately the next time we entered Mexico. So wouldn't the computer know they did not enter Mexico?
