I would hate to discourage people from using this "cruise ferry" but it's too expensive for me to use. One way would be about the same as what we paid for a round trip to Newfoundland last summer. With NFLD you have no choice but to use the ferry - this summer when we head down to Boston we will be driving around.
I hope things work out for the people of Yarmouth who's economy has suffered since the loss of the CAT.
Funny story: about 20 years ago I was about an hour from Yarmouth and was talking to an older couple from Boston. They wanted to know if it would be possible for them to get to Halifax (2 hours away) look around, go to Peggy's Cove (about 40 minutes out of Halifax), then drive to Cape Breton (about 5 hours from Halifax) so they could tour Fortress Louisbourg (takes at least a day) and then catch the ferry back to Maine that same day. Nova Scotia might look small on a map but you can't do all that in about 10 hours.
