The Yukon River broke at Dawson City last night just after 6 p.m. This is a late break-up. The ferry might, just might, start running before the end of May but don't count on it.

The folks at Chicken on the Taylor Hwy posted on facebook yesterday that they still have a foot of snow in their RV park. Thus, free camping for anyone who does make it there from the Alaska Highway.
