We are delayed in Kalispell. We broke down camp and got ready to leave this morning and I started the truck up and it was making a squealing sound and it sounded awful. We headed right to the Ford garage. They looked at it and heard some of the noise but then it settled down and they couldn’t find anything. So back to the campground. Ford tech and service writer well come to the campground Monday morning to see if it only happens when it is cold. They are bringing some test gear with them. If they can find it then if needed they well FedEx emergency the parts and would have them on Tuesday to replace.
If they can’t find it then we are heading home as I don’t trust the truck to break down somewhere on the road to Deadhorse or Invuk and have to be towed. The truck only has 15.000 miles on it. If nothing can be found and we make it back home I’ll be buying a new truck as I won’t have any confidence in this one anymore.
So here we set.
Hope you all have good luck
:)Hi Butch, more than likely just the serpentine belt squealing,
especially if the alternator was working overtime to recharge the batteries in the truck and trailer ?
Of course you could just trade it for a new one right there and go on about your trip ? Without having to go home to do it ? :@
