I would normally agree with the belt but as the tech and I stood there and listened to it it sound like a loose nut or bolt getting kicked up and rattling around and then it would fall back down and then repeat itself. The squeal I would agree with most times is just a belt. The alternator should not have had a big load on it as we just drove the truck the day before and we are in a campground so we have power to the camper so the camper batteries are fully charged.
I can't trade it in here as I don't have the title for it. The tailgate for the truck is home as I carry a slide in camper and the tailgate is one with the camera in it and the step assist. I also have special tires and wheels on it that I don't want to go with the truck. Then it all has to be set up to carry the camper. Lots of reasons why it can't be traded here and carry on.
We'll see what happens on Monday morning, I hope they can locate the problem so we can carry on.
