David, take the drive and the money if your DW (dear wife) is comfortable with it. It is a wonderful adventure. I was posted to Ft Rich 73-76, and drove out 16 Nov 76, in a 72 Ford F-250 4X4. Make sure your vehicle is in good shape, pack your cold weather clothes where you can get to them. Take a few spare parts. Richard
