We just came that way. From Jasper you might consider taking highway 40 (Bighorn Route in Milepost) to Grand Prairie - then on to Dawson Creek. You save some miles and AB is still a bit cheaper than BC. We stayed at Camp Tamarack in Grand Prairie and hit the costco that afternoon. Fill up in Jasper at Petro Canada in town (1.16) and in Grand Prairie(1.17).
