I am following every one of your posts with interest and almost cried when I read that the Cassiar Highway was closed due to flooding, as we are planning on heading that way first. I guess one good thing about getting a little later start is that the spring breakup and runoff is farther along. That hopefully gives the water time to recede and the provinces time to repair the roads by the time we will get there.
And, like most of you I am sure, I immediately checked the roll for "Roll Call Alaska 2013" when I read about the MH rollover and the South Carolina woman's death to see if she was someone from our group. So sad!
We got back late last night from the long-scheduled trip to Illinois that prevented us from leaving sooner for Alaska. So, we are shopping, packing, and working on the trailer this week in preparation for a departure a week from today. We will hit Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington before we get to British Columbia, but we are getting antsy to get started!
