We arrived in Homer, Alaska on Monday, we are on the spit at a very nice campground. Already checked out the Salty Dog, the bloody Mary's are really good. Yesterday we took a cruise over to Seldovia for a nice lunch and afternoon stroll. We will be here for 14 days, then work our way back to Valdez for 14 more days. That will be over the 4th of July. Then back to Tok for 5 days, during that time we will head up to Chicken then to Dawson City and stay there for a night and then back to Tok. Tomorrow we head out on our Halibut Fishing trip, the wife has always wanted to do some deep sea fishing.
After Tok, we will head back to Watson Lake and drive the Cassiar down to the Baniff area, then down to Glacier National Park for a few days. Then back across the top of the country on Highway 2 back to Wisconsin around August 15!
We were in Alaska on a cruise several years ago, so far we have not been back to any of the places we visited at that time. This is really an amazing trip, as I look out the back window of the Montana, the tide is coming in, the water is about 75 yards away, across and around are the mountains. It was worth the trip!
