The following are the fuel prices that we encountered on our 2013 trip to Alaska starting 5/28/13. The prices are the actual pump prices and do not include cash back or discounts.
US prices per US gallon.
Diesel: Chandler AZ $3.46
Gasoline: Chandler AZ $3.34

The prices in Canada are shown as C (liter)/US Exchange Rate. The exchange rate is about: $1.00C = $0.97US. AFD is a cardlock station that will assign a pin to your Visa card for the first usage. Fuel discounts may be available from hotels and campgrounds. 3 cents a liter is a common discount – however that usually means we would pay inside and lose the 5% PenFed credit card cash back. So we can skip the 12 cents/gal discount and get 20-25 cents cash back. The choice is a no brainer. PC is Price Check, no purchase
